Our deputy director Martin Michelot commented on the impact of Slovak PM Robert Fico's vulgar statements addressed against reporters, calling them "dirty, anti-Slovak prostitutes". 

Such personal attacks are way more harmful than the exaggerated reactions to questionable news sites incorporating Russian propaganda. Sites that spread lies are successful within weak media awareness and Fico's statements only seem to reinforce the distrust of the people towards the press. which critics describe as being elitist.
