Kristina Tůmová worked for seven years as a journalist in television newsrooms. She was mainly involved in foreign affairs - the European Union and American politics. She followed closely the European Parliament elections in Brussels in 2019 or the atmosphere before the presidential elections in several US states in the autumn of 2020.

She graduated with a BA and MA in Business and Law from the University of Economics in Prague, later focusing on commercial languages. She also spent half a year in Montreal, Canada on an exchange program at the prestigious HEC Montreal. During her studies, she also gained experience in the diplomatic sphere at internships at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ottawa or at the Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic to the OSCE in Vienna.

She is fluent in English, French and un poquito Spanish. Besides travel and good food, she is interested in African start-ups and the local approach to nature conservation, and enjoys following media coverage from various countries.
