EU as a leader in AI excellence

On Tuesday, May 7, the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the European Union together with EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy are hosting a conference entitled “EU as a leader in AI excellence”.

The conference is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. Registration will start at 9:30 and the conference will be followed by a lunch. The conference will take place at the premises of the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU in Brussels (Rue Caroly 15). Registrations (see attached PDF) are open until May 3. 

Ambassador Jaroslav Zajíček, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the EU, will open the conference with welcoming remarks. 

Věra Jourová, Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality, will deliver a keynote speech.

Panelists of the conference are:

  • Petr Očko, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic 
  • Bertrand Pailhès, AI National Strategy Coordinator of France 
  • Khalil Rouhana, Deputy Director-General of DG CONNECT 
  • Milena Jabůrková, Vice-President of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic 
  • Michal Pěchouček, Director of Artificial Intelligence Center at the Czech Technical University in Prague 

The event will be moderated by Magnus Franklin from Teneo Brussels.
