In July 2019, EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy organized already the seventeenth annual European Summer School in Prague. This year’s programme was focused on the challenges that the European Union is currently facing, particularly from the perspective of Central European countries.

The 16th annual European Summer School took place in July 2018 in Prague and we were happy to welcome students from 15 different countries. This year’s academic program was focused on exploring possible scenarios of the EU’s future developments.

We are proud the continuation of our project aimed at establishing a platform for continued high-level discussion on the complex issue of climate change: Prague Climate Talks. The project will again host a series of debates with experts, professionals from varying relevant fields and the general public.

The project is implemented in cooperation with Internews Ukraine and supported by the Program of Transformation Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.

As part of the project 1918 CEE Identity, Gábor Egry has written an essay that relates to the approaching hundred year anniversary of the collapse of the Central and Eastern European empires, and author analyzes, among other things, the common historical heritage of these newly created states.
